About Daniel P. Rood
I am a problem-solver who thrives in strenuous and uncertain situations, keen on delivering exceptional results wherever possible. I enjoy engaging with an intelligent and passionate team of individuals to accomplish monumental tasks – like successfully conducting an important product field test on a cutting-edge technology before commercialization, and in the process capturing the VP’s service quality award. Over the past decade, I have worked on numerous upstream oil and gas development projects around the world, honing my operational knowledge and technical skills, as well as pursuing a greater understanding of the oil and gas industry as a whole – I accomplished this through a rigorous study of finance, accounting, and economics, eventually stepping into an equity research role at an energy-focused investment bank. Continuing these pursuits, I was fortunate enough to have recently been accepted into University of Chicago Booth School of Business, taking classes in its Weekend Program for working professionals. When I’m not working or studying, I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking or camping, traveling to unique and interesting destinations, playing guitar, and settling down in the evenings with a good book.
