About Daniel Meltzer
Whether I\'m conducting employee surveys for an organization of 300 or leading people analytics projects, or teaching the next generation of I-O psychologists, my mission is clear: I help people do better work, by doing better at work. The challenges that keep showing up in the data aren\'t just organizational problems. They\'re human ones. When do people feel supported by \"the company\"?How can they get visibility on their work when no one\'s looking? Can they set boundaries before burnout sets in?Why don\'t we speak more openly about any of this? These are the questions that drive me today - whether I\'m helping organizations listen better to their people, or thinking about how we can better support early-career professionals navigating the hidden curriculum of corporate life. What I bring- PhD-level expertise in organizational psychology and employee research- Proven track record designing and implementing people analytics solutions at scale- A research-first approach grounded in validated frameworks- A deep curiosity about the gap between what research tells us and what actually happens at work- An unhealthy number of references to The Good Place, Ted Lasso, and Doctor Who (and time travel jokes which will have written themselves)If you\'re looking for proven solutions in employee listening, people analytics, or just want to talk about the science of sustainable performance, let\'s connect. I\'m always up for a conversation about how we can make work a little better.
Experience
Senior Employee Research Consultant
Aug 2022 — Present · New York, NY, US
I work with my clients to design and conduct employee listening strategies that help organizations understand what their people actually need, and do something about it. I work with organizations of all sizes, handling everything from initial design through executive debriefs where I translate data into action recommendations.I use both quantitative surveys and qualitative methods (stakeholder interviews, focus groups, Remesh sessions) to get at the real story behind the numbers. Then I turn that into presentations that help leaders make strategic people decisions. What I love most: finding the patterns in what people are telling us, and helping organizations actually *do* something meaningful with that information.
