   Unit 42\'s daily mission is to protect the digital world from cyberattacks. We wake up every day focused on collecting and analyzing the most up-to-date threat intelligence and applying our analysis to respond to cyberattacks. We make sure that your worst days aren’t as bad as they might have been without us. I lead teams in digital forensic and incident response (DFIR) matters in connection with ransomware attacks, network intrusions, advanced persistent threats (APTs), internal investigations, data breach incidents, litigation, etc. I also provide proactive cyber risk management services based on information security best practices. I serve as a leader and liaison for two Unit 42 Security Consulting service lines: malware reverse engineering and digital investigations (including expert witness and insider threat investigations). I analyze incident response case data to identity trends and insights and help draft public reports sharing this information, including the Unit 42 ransomware and extortion, incident response, and MITRE ATT & CK reports. I leverage a variety of technologies on the back-end to accomplish this including Python, pandas + Colab (Google Cloud’s Jupyter Notebook solution), BigQuery, and LLMs.
