ABOUT DANIEL MULINO

Daniel Mulino is Assistant Treasurer and Minister for Financial Services in the Australian Parliament. Daniel also holds a PhD in Economics from Yale University. His main areas of interest include ways in which to deliver effective social services in a more affordable way given worsening fiscal constrains (see his book: Safety Net: The Future of Welfare in Australia) and the impacts of an ageing population on the macro economy. Daniel has developed and helped to implement a number of innovative policies as both a State and Federal MP, including: a bus service that improved transport for children with autism at a school in Melbourne (reducing travel times by over 50% and removing the need to change buses all at no extra cost to government) and a social bond that helped to fund hundreds of millions of dollars worth of community sporting facilities that improved access for women and girls teams and unlocking broader social benefits for disadvantaged communities.
