Our works included reporting to its lender, a major clearing bank, on the credibility of the company’s forecasts and assessing the options available to the company and the bank. This resulted in the required increase in borrowings to enable the company to continue to trade through a challenging period- Transacted multiple sales of business and assets and wind-down of remaining operations of a £400m plus turnover publicly listed construction company. This resulted in the preservation of over 1,600 jobs, full repayment of significant borrowings to the lender and mitigation of many creditor claims- Advised a major creditor on the recovery of its investment in a residential development business, leading to the appointment of administrators to implement a more effective strategy. This included collaborating with many professionals to conclude the construction of a complicated development. It is anticipated that the bank will be repaid in full and other creditors will receive a significant return.
