About Daniel Meges

Dan Meges is the Chief Economist and head of global equities at Clearstead. As Chief Economist, Dan is the co-author of the firm’s weekly research note and takes the lead on preparing the firm’s macroeconomic viewpoint. As the head of public equity research, he is responsible for evaluating and monitoring global public equities, including US, international and emerging market equity strategies. Dan is primarily responsible for conducting manager due diligence for long-only public equity strategies, manager reviews, analyzing fund statistics, and forming investment recommendations. As part of the Clearstead’s public markets team, he assists in determining the firm’s views on asset allocation, risk management, and capital market assumptions.Dan brings valuable experience in market research and economic analysis to the firm, having served most recently as a Senior Director with MarketResearch.com and having worked more than a decade as an economist, primarily with the U.S. State Department specializing in economic development, international assistance, global labor markets, and US trade policy. Dan finished his undergraduate studies at Cornell University and holds graduate degrees from the University of Chicago and Loyola University Chicago.
