VTS is a technology platform for the commercial real estate industry which provides data insights and solutions in order to assist with investment and asset strategy, leasing and marketing automation, property operations, and tenant experience. It is the largest first-party data source in the industry, making data engineering for the company a very interesting and challenging role.As a data engineer at VTS my primary responsibilities are to maintain ETL pipelines, manage services and data in AWS, and to use machine learning to create insights. I am also responsible for helping push technology initiatives that will help the company transition from a \"Data as a Service\" to a \"Data as a Product\" sales model.
