ABOUT DANIEL KATZ

From East, to West and back again! As a Change Agent, research analyst, UX designer, consultant, freelance journalist, writer and photographer, Daniel is ready to take the Digital Media, Design and Consulting industries by storm. In 2017, Daniel made his final move back to Ottawa, Ontario, after previously living in Alberta as a journalist with Postmedia - covering national park issues for the Bow Valley Crag and Canyon newspaper as well as other major western Canadian publications. During his time in Banff and Canmore, he mastered his skills in news writing, feature writing, business profile writing, copy editing, photography, film editing and social media. In 2019, Daniel graduated from Algonquin College\'s Interactive Media Design Program, adding UX/UI, coding, digital communications, media project planning and development to the many skills he already possesses. As Director of Research Services and Marketing for Global Advantage Consulting Group, Daniel was responsible for conducting studies on client projects for a variety of sectors and industry ecosystems, and completing ecosystem maps and reports. Past projects include an analysis of Western Canadian business incubators and accelerators, Canadian housing innovation, Canadian logistics and supply chain technology, German quantum research, and Canadian social science and humanities research. Through learning of the challenges that large organizations undertake when implementing transformational changes, he decided to become a certified ProSci change management professional. Today, Daniel is helping IRCC drive digital modernization, one of the department\'s key strategic priorities, through the Digital Platform Modernization Phase 3.
