ABOUT DANIELLE WRIGHTHAM
I began my career in the Royal Navy as a Communication and Information Systems Specialist, where I honed skills in precision, adaptability, and system analysis, qualities which laid the foundation for my current role in Research and Development. During my time in the Navy, I managed secure communication networks, analysed data flows, and ensured the smooth operation of critical systems, all while thriving in high-pressure environments that demanded innovative problem-solving and clear communication. I was awarded the Operation TELIC campaign medal for service in Iraq in 2008.Alongside my military experience, I hold a degree in Biomedical Science, which deepened my understanding of scientific principles and further fueled my passion for innovation. These experiences taught me to blend structure with creativity and precision with flexibility, principles that continue to guide my work in R&D. Whether developing new technologies or refining existing ones, I focus on creating sustainable, user-centered solutions. For me, science is about curiosity, creativity, and the pursuit of better ways to solve problems, turning challenges into opportunities for innovation.
