The Category function is pivotal to the Concept to Launch process within the Lacoste footwear business. The Category team is responsible for creating the seasonal range structure and objectives, understanding the brands commercial positioning and delivering a range which is both on brand, consumer focused and inline with our ambitions to be the leading premium lifestyle footwear brand globally.Working within the Future concepts of the brand as a Category Assistant, I support the team by owning the maintenance of the Seasonal Visual line plan, a key tool used cross functionally to understand the development of the range. I pro actively provide research to support new commercial product opportunities whilst assisting the Head of Category with both the day to day running of the team and ongoing Category projects.

ABOUT DANNI SHROSBREE
After completing my Undergraduate degree in International Hospitality, Finance and Event Management, the course has proved to develop many skills within a multitude of business areas. I have acquired a range of abilities within global marketing, product, finance and the events sector enabling me to become a strong communicator and to be confident within a business environment. I have been working within the Footwear industry for over 7 years now as a Product Line Manager. The role involves being the central person of delivering a new shoe from the start to finish -ie. The trend research, to the design brief, pricing analysis, range building and finally conference delivering to Distribution. The skills needed for this role are: forward thinking, the ability to multi task, strong communication skills, financial margin and industry awareness, creativity and is within a fast pace environment. Alongside my degree I am a passionate sportswomen, enjoying all aspects of sport and recreation. My main area has previously been Triathlon, however throughout university I became interested in Rowing. Competing in both an individual and team sport, has allowed me to utilise leadership skills I have learnt when necessary but also to be a key team player. I now compete to a high level in cycling, racing at UCI and World Tour level on the road and a professional gravel rider.
