About Danielle N. Poyant

Based in the Providence office, I have over 35 years of experience in taxation and accounting. As a Director in our Providence Tax Group, I specialize in tax planning, consulting and compliance for individuals and privately-held businesses. During my tenure at CBIZ and I have provided services for a wide range of businesses including professional service providers, contractors, healthcare providers, and real estate industries.After obtaining my degree, I started my career at 2 accounting firms, Raymond Eisenberg & Associates PC and then Petitti, Eisenberg & Gamache, PC in New Bedford, MA. In 2001 my firm joined Tofias PC in Cambridge, followed by a merger with CBIZ & MHM in 2008. We maintained an office in downtown New Bedford until 2012 when the office was relocated to Providence, RI. I am a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA,) and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA). In addition, I am currently the Assistant Treasurer and a Board Member of Waterfront Historic Area LeaguE (WHALE), an organization with a mission to foster historic preservation and continued use of the city’s architectural heritage, so to enhance community and economic vitality in New Bedford, MA. I am also on the Accounting and Finance Advisory Counsel at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, as well as serve on the Finance Committee of the New Bedford Economic Development Counsel. Additionally I am a member of the Board of Directors of Poyant Signs, Inc. For fifteen years I was a member of the Board of Directors of the Greater NB Women\'s Center where I served as Treasurer of the organization.In my spare time you can usually find me spending time with family and friends, keeping active and volunteering in various capacities in my community.
