ABOUT DANIELLE OMPAD
Danielle C. Ompad, Ph.D. is a Professor of Epidemiology and Deputy Director of the Center for Drug Use and HIV Research at the New York University School of Global Public Health. Her research is focused on marijuana, heroin, crack, and cocaine use and is underpinned by a harm reduction perspective, i.e, reducing negative consequences associated with highly stigmatized drug use. She has been funded by the National Institutes of Health. Most recently, she has been studying use of new marijuana products and their packaging as well as drug use among construction workers.
