Danielle M. Criona leads the Intellectual Property Group at The Wonderful Company protecting the IP of TWC, its affiliates and their well-known brands: Wonderful pistachios, FIJI water, POM Wonderful pomegranate juice, Teleflora, Halos mandarins and Justin, Landmark, JNSQ and Lewis Cellars wines.Ms. Criona is a (rare) native Californian who earned a B.S. from Loyola Marymount University (Bio/Biochem), a M.S. from CSUN (Bio), and J.D. from Loyola Law School. She was admitted to the California Bar and served on the Board of Governors for Loyola Law School for almost 10 years. The IP Group handles all areas of IP for The Wonderful Company, its affiliate companies, and its brands. Ms. Criona advises the companies on all issues involving intellectual property including patents, copyrights and trademarks: from diligence on new acquisitions to product and brand launches; from social media, advertising and domain names issues to tv ad clearance and set issues; from trademark opposition, cancellation and infringement litigation to trademark and copyright prosecution and licensing; and a myriad of patent prosecution, licensing and litigation issues, worldwide. Ms. Criona and her direct reports work with foreign counsel in over 60 countries and is extensively involved in infringement litigation, both domestically and internationally, securing very favorable decisions not only in the United States, but also in such countries as Germany, the European Union, India, Peru and Chile.Specialties: All areas of Patent, Trademark and Copyright law including federal district court litigation on trademark infringement, patent infringement, copyright infringement and related unfair competition claims; patent, trademark and copyright licensing and related agreements; proceedings in the Trademark Trial and Appeals Board (Opposition and Cancellation proceedings); and trademark and copyright registration and protection advice.
