I\'ve always straddled multiple worlds, living in the liminal spaces between strategic marketing, cultural astronomy research and outreach, and astrotourism. I am a marketing leader who loves to promote non-profit missions or for-profit products that make a difference in this world. I regard marketing as applied anthropology—you must be able to see the world through the eyes of your stakeholders in order to tell stories that resonate with them. At the same time, I am a cultural astronomer who researches and presents on indigenous Arabian astronomy from its development in pre-Islam through its fragmentation during the Abbasid Period and how that history gave us many of our modern-day star names.
