About Danielle Hunter

I’m a driven Business Information Technology Honors College student at Virginia Tech with a concentration in Data & Decisions who has a passion for leveraging innovation, empathy, and technology to create meaningful solutions. I\'ve gained hands-on experience in cybersecurity compliance by mapping NIST-4 controls and streamlining data analysis processes in Excel during my time working with ManageIT Security. This experience has strengthened my attention to detail, interest in the cyber world, and ability to translate technical information into clear, actionable insights. Beyond academics, I was nominated to serve as the Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for Alpha Phi, where I lead weekly initiatives that foster belonging, empathy, and integrity within our chapter. I educate current and new members about our policies and continue to foster an inclusive community. I also oversee community service events for 200+ members that effectively bring our community together.I am eager to continue to build my analytical and leadership skills through opportunities that challenge me to think critically, work alongside diverse teams, and make a positive impact on the community.

   I lead and facilitate DEI initiatives within our chapter, collaborate with other departments to foster an inclusive community, and educate our members on Alpha Phi\'s Human Dignity Policy. I also oversee all of our chapter\'s service events, including volunteer opportunities and campus-wide engagement efforts that align with our values of empathy, integrity, and sisterhood.
