About Danielle Thorpe

I’m an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) with a passion for helping individuals, couples, and families create meaningful, lasting change.My approach is psychodynamic and attachment-oriented, grounded in curiosity, empathy, and respect for each client’s unique story. I believe therapeutic growth happens through authentic connection, insight, and collaboration - where compassion, honesty, and humor all have a place in the room.I completed my M.A. in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University and my clinical training at The Maple Counseling Center, where I provided individual therapy to adults and co-facilitated a weekly process group (Queer Space). I’ve also spent over a decade volunteering with Crisis Text Line, supporting people through acute emotional distress and suicidality.I’m currently deepening my training in EMDR, EFT, and the Gottman Method, and will be attending the Evolution of Psychotherapy conference this year. My long-term goal is to integrate depth-oriented, evidence-based, and creative approaches to help clients build self-understanding, resilience, and connection.
