ABOUT DANIELLE SWEENY

My interest in coding was piqued while studying Contemporary Art when I discovered the Post-Internet art movement as many of the artists I was interested in created surreal works by ‘breaking code’. I found the examination of the Internet\'s impact on the individual and society particularly fascinating. This fascination has continued while learning more about front-end web development and computer science through the implementation of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React and accessibility best practices. I am thrilled to now be on a new career path that allows for so much creative problem solving in the effort to improve user experience. I have always been someone who enjoys a challenge, and look forward to tackling any issues as they arise as a Front End Engineer.The foundation of my experience is in museums, having interned at both the Neuberger Museum of Art (Purchase, New York) and the Nassau County Museum of Art (Roslyn, New York). As well as assisting with VIP clientele at the 2014 New York Frieze Art Fair. I worked with the directors of Brooklyn-based art gallery American Medium as their Gallery Associate from 20••••16. Finally I found myself working at Starbucks for five and a half years where I not only learned time and inventory management, but also honed my skills managing interpersonal connections while leading my team.
