ABOUT DANIELLE SMITH

I’m a HR professional with 18 years of experience gained predominantly within the public sector. I am currently a pay and reward specialist however, over the course of my career I have worked in other fields and have gained experience of working within the majority of HR disciplines including recruitment, performance management, talent management, succession planning, policy/strategy development, change management and TUPE. I am currently Head of Reward and Benefits at Citizens Advice and am responsible for devising, modelling and implementing the pay awards for its employees. I have a thorough knowledge of Government pay remit rules and excellent IT and analytical skills. I possess an up to date knowledge of employee benefits and have experience of procuring, implementing and marketing new employee benefits programmes. Whilst working in DECC I managed a marketing campaign to increase the level of payroll giving within the organisation which was recognised with a Gold Charter Mark from the Charities Aid Foundation. In my previous role I was the HR business partner solely responsible for providing a HR service to DECC\'s Senior Civil Servants. My role included managing the end to end recruitment process for senior roles as well as managing the policies and processes for senior staff performance management, talent management, succession planning and pay and reward mechanisms. As well as being CIPD level 5 qualified as a HR professional I am also a qualified payroll professional with experience of designing, building and implementing new payroll systems, namely itrent and oracle applications and back end systems administration.
