Senior Manager, Credit, Collections and Cash Application • Manage team of 12 direct reports (credit/collections and AR analysts) • Approve/Decline credit terms for new clients based on credit ratings obtained by analysts through Dun and Bradstreet and 3rd party reports, banking and trade references. • Perform credit reviews as needed on high risk/delinquent accounts. • Ensure team collects promptly on accounts with balances past terms to minimize bad debt exposure. • Review and approve payment plans. • Ensure all cash is posted timely and accurately for all global entities • Monitor and resolve all billing/invoicing issues to prevent payment delays • Monitor large strategic account deductions for contractual adherence • Develop staff- including hiring, coaching, counseling, training and performance reviews • Developed new KPI’s, processes and procedures in dept. to maximize efficiencies. • Worked with outside collections agency and legal dept. on uncollectible accounts as well as bankruptcy, insolvency. • Monitor and analyze and report on customer deductions (chargebacks, fines, allowances, rebates etc.) • Provided weekly executive level aging analysis reporting to VP and CFO • Assisted in month/quarter/year end close process and audits • Prepare regular write off schedules and bad debt review reports to Executives • Ensure monthly close deadlines are met. • Prepare close reports and presentation for Board. • Developed, documented, and maintained AR & Cash Collections policies • Ensure SOX compliance is met • Managed lockbox, credit card, COD automation project with IT department • Managed bank transition for all global entities
