ABOUT DANIELLE MAGER
Danielle Inglangasuk Mager is a proud Inuvialuit and Gwich’in woman, daughter of Naudia Lennie, an Inuvialuit and Gwich’in from Aklavik, and Dan O’Neill, a settler from Ontario. She is also the granddaughter of Sam Lennie, whose heritage traces to the Gwich’in in the Yukon and Anaktuvak Pass in Alaska, and Margaret Lennie, an Inuvialuit. Born and raised in the Northwest Territories, Danielle grew up in Cambridge Bay (now part of Nunavut) and has deep-rooted connections to the region’s cultural and community values. With over 16 years of experience in public service, Danielle has made significant contributions to the Northwest Territories Legislative Assembly in various roles, including Manager of Public Affairs and Communications, Committee Clerk, and Senior Advisor to the Clerk. Her professional background is underpinned by a solid foundation in business administration and management, along with certifications in interpreting legislation, leadership development, and Indigenous leadership. Currently, Danielle serves as the Senior Project Manager for Cultural Safety and Anti-Racism with the Department of Health and Social Services, where she leads initiatives to foster inclusive and culturally safe practices within the health sector.
