Prepares and administers Heparin• Initiates dialysis treatment using proper cannulation or central venous catheter (CVC) in accordance to state, federal, and local regulations• Successfully cannulates roughly 15 patients/shift• Collects blood samples and culture specimens and prepares for shipment• Performs and records vital signs and all parameters of ESRD per state regulation• Accurately completes patient documentation on all flow sheets• Performs clerical duties which includes: filing, lab requisitions, scheduling appointments, answering calls, ordering supplies, billing, copying, faxing, data entry, maintaining patient charts• Sets up and and monitors dialysis machines and reverse osmosis (“RO”) water system for correct functioning • Responds to visible and audible alarms and makes appropriate adjustments• Obtains information and/or data regarding compliance to dietary and medication regimens, documents observations• Performs 15 or 30 minute safety checks• Dismantles, cleans, and disinfects dialysis machines and equipment

My current position as a patient care technician involves direct patient care ensuring my patients get the best dialysis experience possible. My self-motivated, driven personality has guided me to excel in all areas of my life. My ambition has consistently pushed me to seek new opportunities.
