About Danielle Kelvas
First, I was a physician. I’ve spent years treating the downstream effects of decisions people didn’t even realize they were making. Not because they were careless. But because they were influenced. By ads. By algorithms. By messaging designed to feel like healthcare—but built to drive behavior. At some point, I realized something uncomfortable: We don’t just have a healthcare problem. We have a medical marketing problem. What patients eat. How they sleep. How they think about their bodies. The medications they ask for. The identities they adopt. Much of it is being shaped—subtly and systematically—by how healthcare is marketed to them. And most people never see it happening. I work at the intersection of medicine, behavior, and marketing. I help healthcare companies communicate in a way that is-clinically grounded -biologically responsible -and actually aligned with patient well-being Not just conversion metrics. I’m also the author of an upcoming book: “This Is Your Brain on Marketing” It explores how modern marketing is reshaping human behavior at a biological level— and what happens when that influence goes unchecked in healthcare.
