ABOUT DANIELLE GARCIA
Danielle is a People & Culture professional and political science educator in the NYC metropolitan area. Danielle earned her Masters degree in Political Science in 2021 from The Graduate Center at CUNY where she specialized in Comparative Politics. Danielle concentrated her research on comparative identity politics and has a unique expertise on global and multicultural identity. Her published thesis,\"The Politics of Hip Hop: A Political Analysis of Hip Hop’s History and Its Complicated Relationship with Capitalism\" has been featured on the Hip Hop Learners Podcast. In it, she explores the revolutionary potential as well as the limitations of the Hip Hop movement within capitalism. Danielle has 6 years of experience in Human Resources with a focus on people, culture and employee engagement. She works at Lloyd Group as Lloydian Success Ambassador, an employee advocate + internal engagement, culture, and HR specialist. Danielle has taught and developed college level courses and is currently in the adjunct pool in the Political Science Department at her alma mater. She utilizes her unique academic background and experience to help create and maintain inclusive, safe, and diverse spaces, in the classroom, workplace + beyond. She is an advocate for DEI and psychological safety. Outside of work and teaching, Danielle loves to cook, travel (and eat!) and is an avid hip hop fan.
