About Danielle Cermak
My professional experience started with being a team lead in patient care as a physician. That quickly led to me being the Champion of PCMH at USAFA and an Element Lead for half of the Family Health Clinic. After my time at USAFA, I continued for two years at Peterson AFB as the Family Health Medical Director, Medical Director of Allergy and Immunizations, and deputy SGH (Chief of the Medical Staff). This was all while seeing 80+ patients a week as a Family Medicine physician. I’ve also served as the 20th MDG Chief of the Medical Staff (20••••16), the Medical Corps Force Management Fellow (20••••17) at the Defense Health Headquarters in Falls Church, VA, Chief, Clinical Services at PACAF HQ (20••••20), and Commander of the 460 Operational Medical Readiness Squadron (20••••22) where I led 6 flights (clinics) in healthcare delivery and 100+ personnel. My short term goal (in the next year) is to complete American Academy of Physician Leadership (AAPL) course to earn my certification as a physician healthcare executive (CPE). My long term goal is to continue with the Command track as a Medical Group Commander (MDG/CC) in summer 2023 & have a successful tour (20••••25). It is also to see that the Air Force Medical Service (AFMS) succeeds as a HRO (High Reliability Organization) in coordination with DHA led healthcare delivery.
