About Danielle Bourque
I am a speech-language pathologist with a passion for early intervention and supporting children with hearing loss and communication challenges. I earned my Master’s degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, John A. Burns School of Medicine, where I received specialized training to support children from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.I currently provide speech and language services at Children\'s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC), supporting children and families through evidence-based intervention focused on building functional communication and language skills. As part of my work, I also collaborate with the cochlear implant team to support children with hearing loss as they develop listening and spoken language skills. In addition to my clinical work, I serve as the Engagement & Communications Manager for the Baker Institute for Children with Hearing Loss, the nonprofit behind the Listen to Me! Conference. In this role, I help share the mission and impact of our work across California, Hawaiʻi, Kenya, Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia by creating clear, engaging content for families and professionals.I thrive at the intersection of communication, community, and creativity—whether I’m supporting children and families, designing outreach materials, or connecting professionals through collaborative initiatives.
