Danielle Johnson, LCSW, is a dedicated leader, clinician, and community advocate with more than a decade of experience strengthening the mental health and well-being of individuals and families throughout the Roanoke community. Her career reflects a steadfast commitment to equity, empowerment, and creating supportive environments where people can thrive.Danielle currently serves as the Director of Student Support Services at Virginia Western Community College, where she leads campus wide efforts to support student wellness, engagement, and success. In this role, she oversees holistic support initiatives, coordinates cross-campus partnerships, and ensures students have access to the resources they need to persist and meet their academic and personal goals. Her work centers on building responsive systems of care, enhancing help seeking pathways, and cultivating a student centered culture of belonging.Prior to joining Virginia Western, Danielle served as a School Social Worker with Roanoke City Public Schools, where she championed community engagement and worked to reduce barriers that prevented students and families from accessing essential resources.
