About Daniella Hunter

A concept that has stayed with me since my time at Indiana University was a “Hero’s Journey” — the idea that growth happens when we step into the unknown, take on meaningful challenges, and return changed. I’ve spent the last seven years growing my career at Target — evolving from engineer to Sr Engineering Manager in retail technology. Along the way, I’ve had the opportunity to help build Target Storefront, data distribution applications, and lead engineering for the Product Detail Page — the highest-traffic experience on Target.com. Working on systems at that scale has shaped how I lead. It’s taught me to think long-term while delivering today, to balance technical excellence with business impact, and to practice servant leadership in fast-moving, highly collaborative environments. From partnering closely with Product Managers to guiding teams through complex architectural decisions, I’m energized by solving meaningful problems that directly impact millions of guests. My journey in technology hasn’t been a single defining moment — it’s been a series of them. Each project, each challenge, each leadership transition has reinforced one belief: growth is a choice. You can let change define you, or you can use it to evolve. Today, I’m focused on building high-performing teams, scaling resilient retail platforms, and continuing to grow as a leader.
