ABOUT DANIEL
Daniel is a Partner in BDO’s Financial Advisory Services Group where he provides valuation services for tax planning, financial reporting, litigation support, and transaction advisory purposes. As a Chartered Accountant (CPA, CA) and Chartered Business Valuator (CBV), he is entrusted to assist clients in a wide variety of valuation needs. His experience includes:• Valuing business interests for purposes of tax planning and transaction advisory;• Valuing complex financial instruments and intangible assets for financial reporting purposes;• Quantifying damages arising from shareholder disputes and breaches of contracts;• Advising on the fairness of live deals and transactions from a financial perspective; and• Advising clients on value enhancement opportunities in preparation for the eventual sale of their businesses.Daniel is an alumnus of the University of Waterloo and holds a Bachelor of Accounting and Financial Management (BAFM ’11) and a Master of Accounting (MAcc ’12). In 2015, he obtained the Chartered Business Valuator designation and was also the recipient of the George Ovens Award. This award was established by the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators and sponsored by PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP to recognize the CBV candidate who achieved the highest mark on the Membership Qualification Exam.
