ABOUT DANIEL WYLIE

I’m a nurse-trained entrepreneur with a deep-rooted passion for delivering outstanding care and creating environments where both people and teams can thrive. Over the last 25+ years, I’ve founded, scaled, and revitalised multiple care businesses across learning disabilities, mental health, complex needs, and elderly care — always with a focus on high-quality, personalised support. As CEO of Calm Futures, I lead a growing group of residential and supported living services across Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, and Hertfordshire. A key milestone has been the creation of Daniel Kirby House in Chelmsford — our flagship, eco-friendly development comprising a six-bed residential home and six supported living flats. Built in partnership with The Wylie Group Construction and named in memory of my late best friend, it’s a project I’m especially proud of, blending clinical insight, lived experience, and sustainable design.2025 has been a year of meaningful growth, with the acquisition of New Boundaries Group in Norfolk (nine homes, 120 staff) and Blossom in Hertfordshire (seven services, 127 staff). These expansions have strengthened our presence and extended our ethos of person-centred, high-quality care into new regions.Earlier in my journey, I founded Aldanat Care in 2008, a nationally award-winning provider for people with learning disabilities and mental health needs, which I exited in 2020. In 2013, I established Autumn Care, where we transformed Little Oaks into a true home for older people. My approach has always been rooted in people, outcomes, and building care models that genuinely work.Alongside running businesses, I’ve supported the wider sector — from founding the Care Providers Network to holding leadership roles with the Essex Care Association and Essex Employment and Skills Board. I’m a strong believer in collaboration, innovation, and raising standards across the board.Whether it’s turning around a failing home, developing new models of care, or mentoring others, I love solving real problems and creating positive, lasting change.Outside of work, I’m a proud dad to Emilia, Enzo, and Aston — and yes, the car theme was intentional! A love of motorsport and cars where I raced in some of the UKs most prestigious series including the Touring Car Trophy and Britcar Endurance.
