WORK HISTORY
Policy Officer @Ulster Farmers Union
Belfast, GB
As Policy Officer, I have responsibility for Legislation, Rural Enterprise and Rural Development. I also act as Secretary to the relevant policy committees for this brief internally. My role sits at the intersection of agriculture, policy, and advocacy, representing the interests of Northern Ireland’s farming community and developing and influencing policy on wider agricultural issues. I work closely with farmers, industry stakeholders, and government bodies to ensure that the voices of our members are heard and reflected in policy decisions. Through committee work, stakeholder engagement, and lobbying, I help shape policies that support a sustainable and productive future for agriculture in Northern Ireland.By virtue of my position, I also sit on a number of external boards and advisory groups, including but not limited to: the Agricultural Wages Board for Northern Ireland, the Rural Crime Partnership, the CBI NI Energy Working Group, and the Utility Regulator’s Non-Domestic Energy Market Forum.
