About Daniel Sharpe

Physical Therapy isn\'t just a dream or a passion of mine. I see it as a high calling to serve people in need, which often means treating far more than just physical impairments. Being there when your patients need you the most, whether that\'s being a shoulder to cry on or a coach to push them when they want to quit, should be the expectation in our field, not the goal. We wear many hats as clinicians, but champions of empathy and compassion are two that I hold high above the rest.In my schooling, I have served in a student-run pro-bono clinic helping the un- and under-insured get the care they need, assisted in conducting cutting edge research, taught foundational skills and knowledge to students following in my footsteps, and learned invaluable skills and life-lessons from faculty, fellow students, local clinicians, and clinical instructors. I have taken advantage of opportunities throughout school to work side by side with other professions to ensure communication and continuity of care in my own practice. I have also studied under an international organization dedicated to identifying and eliminating healthcare disparities as well as ensuring the cultural competence of students around the globe. In the end, it\'s all about the patients. When we\'re striving for our best, we\'re striving for their best.
