About Daniel McCoy
Dan is an experienced innovation leader with a focus on developing new transformation and innovation business units within large organizations. At BMNT, the government\'s innovation partner, Dan leads the Business Development group based out of Washington D.C, working with partners in Palo Alto and ally offices in London, UK and Canberra, AUS. Starting March 2020, Dan served as an SES-appointed Chief Innovation Officer at the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) focused on enhancing the experience of not only travelers but also our Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) in the field. His efforts created new teams focused on design thinking, emerging transportation security equipment transition, and alternative strategies for outcome based innovation within TSA. Dan and his team published the government\'s first Innovation Doctrine, a document which outlines how principled, repeatable methods can establish an organization where employees lead democratized innovation at all levels.From 2015 through 2020 Dan was part of Deloitte Consulting LLP based in Arlington. He was an early leader creating Deloitte Catalyst, consulting\'s go-to-market emerging technology innovation function. He eventually took the role as Catalyst\'s Government & Public Services Domain Manager bringing the emerging technology ecosystem, from startups to venture capital, to government partners.
