ABOUT DANIEL JEFFS
Dan is an experienced and internationally minded urban designer with over 20 years of cross-sector expertise in regeneration, infrastructure, and placemaking. With a strong foundation in urban design, masterplanning, graphic communication, and community engagement, Dan has led complex, high-profile projects across Scotland and beyond. He brings a proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams, align design with policy and funding, and deliver inclusive, sustainable outcomes. Dan’s work is grounded in a deep understanding of nature-based solutions, active travel, and climate resilience, supported by extensive experience producing high-quality design and access statements, masterplans, and public realm strategies. He has jointly led design outputs for major co-design and engagement initiatives, translating community input into actionable plans for diverse neighbourhoods. Holding an MSc in Urban Design and a BA in Conservation & Environmental Design, along with a recently completed Master’s in Psychology, Dan combines creative, communicative, and analytical skills to deliver thoughtful, people-centred design. A member of the Urban Design Group and fluent in global best practices, he is soon to be based in Bangkok, Thailand, and is actively seeking remote opportunities beyond GMT hours—offering flexibility, international insight, and a commitment to high-quality, collaborative design.
