ABOUT DANIEL HOWES

Innovation. Problem solving. Leadership. Entrepreneurship. My interest and passion for resuscitation medicine has led me through 25 years of clinical work, teaching, research, and innovation. My academic focus has been on Leadership, crisis decision-making, and cognitive load - a focus that has led me to take-on leadership roles ranging from small clinical teams, to the Queen\'s Department of Critical Care during the COVID pandemic, to co-founding a rapidly growing company. I love innovation and bringing people together to do great things differently. I\'ve been involved in the establishment of Canada\'s first training program in Resuscitation Medicine, the CAEP Critical Care Committee, the Critical Care Response Team at Kingston Health Sciences Centre, the Kingston Resuscitation Institute, and with my partner Angela Fallow have started Custodius, a solution for the will storage challenges that Wills and Estates Lawyers experience. Oddly.I\'ve also stumbled into being a leading expert on the evolution of hiccups (clearly not a competitive field). If you are interested, have a look at recent articles on the evolution of hiccups in both National Geographic and Popular Mechanics!
