About Daniel Hashempour
I am a third-year student in the School of Public Health, majoring in Exercise Science with a minor in entrepreneurship through the Kelley School of Business. I have a passion for working with others. I have filled various leadership roles in the past. Starting with highschool, I was the president of my highschool\'s Academy of Finance with over 200 members, and I was the captain of both my varsity football and wrestling teams. During my time as president of The Academy of finance, my team and I were able to increase member recruitment by over 20%. In addition, I led a team to the Montgomery County Business Pitch Challenge two years in a row, in which we placed 3rd both times. Now as an Indiana University student, I serve as a council member on the Deans Advisory Council for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. As a leas-on for the student body surveying students about concerns regarding, student life, racial discrimination, financial policies, and any current student issues. Outside of school, I am the owner of an international fitness coaching business, in which I travel the world to coach and compete in competitive powerlifting events. As a coach, I am constantly exercising my consulting and entrepreneurial skills, working directly with clients daily. In the future, I\'m excited to use my experiences and expertise in a career that combines my entrepreneurial drive with my commitment to leading and making a difference in the community. My main aim is to bring innovation to the fitness sector, specifically by creating platforms that improve how communities engage and assist each other. I intend to apply my business development background and hands on problem solving approach to lead initiatives that not only boost economic growth but also champion inclusivity and accessibility. By blending my understanding of entrepreneurship, leadership and social responsibility, I hope to develop sustainable business solutions that tackle real world issues and have a positive impact on society.
