About Dan Hill

Working for Nestlé since I have gained a diverse experience in the consumer packaged goods industry, in both the manufacturing and commercial sides of the business. I love driving positive change in organizations, and the increasing management and leadership roles I\'ve had in my career have allowed me to help others become passionate about driving improvement too, because they are now equipped with the tools to do it. I currently lead complex projects with high value/high impact in our Procurement function. I have led various teams with different backgrounds - from teams of hourly front-line union employees in production, warehouses, and maintenance, to teams of industrial engineers, operational buyers, and IT professionals. I have coached and developed leaders across North America in the use of critical leadership and management practices that have created autonomy in their teams and allowed them to drive breakthrough improvements for the company. I am a trained Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and certified and accredited Lean Six Sigma Green Belt who has led or coached 30+ LSS projects. I have also developed an expertise in data analytics and am proficient with Power BI and using data to drive insights. Other specialties include value stream design, value stream mapping, developing high performing teams, individual and team coaching, operational master planning, training and development, TPM, and a wide variety of Lean tools and methods.
