As part of the commissioning team I lead specific commissioning work to improve outcomes for service users and deliver the council’s plans, priorities, and strategies to achieve value for money, consistent with good practice. As a member of the council’s senior leadership group to carry collective accountability with Directors and other senior managers for the achievement of the council’s strategic and service outcomes. Key roles/portfolio- Strategic and operational responsibility of the delivery of the local Household Support Fund and management of the central support team (over £18m DWP grant)- Line Management of a team of Commissioning Managers, Officers, Support Officers and Multi-Agency team (NRPF and Housing)- Contract Management of the Independent Visitor contract for Children in Care - Contract Management of children’s IT systems (Liquid Logic, CapitaONE, ContrOCC, MeLearning)- Co-Chair of Access to Resources Panel (S17/CiC funding)- Overseeing the procurement and implementation of a Modified DPS for professional services in children’s social care (5+2 year term with contract value of £10.5m)- Deputising for the Assistant Director for Integrated Children and Families Commissioning when required
