ABOUT DANIEL FOSTER

As a commercially astute and strategically driven leader, I bring over 20 years of experience in the procurement, negotiation, and commercial management of high-value capital investment programmes across utilities, infrastructure, renewables, and civil engineering. I currently lead the commercial strategy for Severn Trent Water’s £6bn Capital Delivery Programme, overseeing a team of 100+ professionals and driving year-on-year improvements in efficiency, supplier management and regulatory performance. My career spans both client-side and contractor-side roles, giving me a unique perspective on delivering complex programmes through innovative commercial models, collaborative supplier relationships, and robust governance. I’m passionate about embedding transformation and continuous improvement, having led major change initiatives involving new technologies, frameworks, and commercial processes. With a BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying and a strong foundation in strategic negotiation, contract law, and project management, I influence at all levels—from operational teams to FTSE 100 exec’s. I’m committed to developing high-performing teams and fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation.
