ABOUT DANIELE SPANO

As an AIT Manager, I manage all Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT) activities at the project level, ensuring alignment with project objectives, timelines, and quality standards. My role involves close collaboration with the Project Manager to oversee resource planning, scheduling, cost control, and documentation management. My work focuses on driving the efficient execution of AIT processes while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance across the entire project lifecycle. As System AIT in the \"HERA\" Project, I acted as main support figure for the AIT Manager in defining the AIT Project from proposal and early phases till the launch campaign, ensuring the technical coherency of the AIT Project (planning activities, activities feasibility, schedule maintenance, technical issues, work organization, KPI). I acted as main contact point for technical and organisational topics with the whole AIT Team and the respective Engineering Team. In my previous position of Lead Engineer, I was in charge of managing a group of 15 engineers (AIT and System) covering all phases of development (EM) and production (FMs) of SARah. I was collaborating closely with the System Engineers in order to develop test plans and test specifications: I was responsible for test strategies and test design at both system and sub-system level. I was responsible of all cleanroom operations for the project, on both EM and FM.Before that I have been assigned to the Environmental Test Campaign for Galileo FOC project in Bremen first and then in the Netherlands (ESA/ESTEC). During the environmental test campaign, I had the chance to perform all electrical testing related to all stages of the environmental campaign.I was covering all stages of electrical testing at systems and subsystems levels in the production phases.I worked as Stress/Strain Engineer - Document V&V at AEROSOFT S.p.A. in Neaples. I was involved in calculating structural beheaviour of some items of LFP of Aribus A350 - XWB and I was in charge to write stress-sheets and to check new modifications and calculations.I was involved in testing of LARES Satellite Cube Corner Reflectors (CCRs) in a simulated space environment facility specifically designed at “La Sapienza” for the test: I was responsible of the facility and test design and execution. I was collaborating with Carlo Gavazzi Space, Agenzia Spaziale Italiana (ASI) and “Deutsches Geoforschungszentrum GFZ” for FFDP studies and experiments.
