ABOUT DANIELE SPACCINI
Daniele Spaccini is a founder and the Chief Innovation Officer at Wsense s.r.l. In 2015 he received the PhD in Computer Science from the University of Rome \"La Sapienza\". During his PhD his research interest was on underwater communications, networking and underwater vehicles localization, to which he has contributed with several papers published in leading venues. He participated in several EU-funded projects in which he was in charge of coordinating the design and development of the software and hardware to be used in all the in-field experiments and all the related underwater experimental activities. He collaborated with several research and defence centers, such as CMRE (Centre for Maritime Research and Experimentation) and SPAWAR (Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command). He is often involved in multiple NATO Industrial Advisory Group (NIAG) activities as active member. He is also author of two filed patents on adaptive underwater communications. He is currently in charge of products innovation and of increase the hardware and software functionalities of the underwater wireless sensor networks produced by Wsense.
