ABOUT DANIELE LEREDE
I currently work at Open Energy Transition as Energy System Modeller, contributing to the development of the Open Energy Benchmark platform and PyPSA-Earth, and leading the US-based project “Grid modelling to assess electrofuels supply potential”. In my previous experience as Postdoctoral Researcher at Università degli Studi di Torino, and previously in my PhD at Politecnico di Torino, I developed the open-software and open-database energy system optimization model TEMOA-Europe and contributed to the devlopment of TEMOA-Italy, while being engaged in the EUROfusion WorkPackage for Socio-Economic Studies, in charge of the maintenance of the EUROfusion TIMES Model for the study of the possible penetration of nuclear fusion technologies in the future energy mix. I have also been engaged in PoliENERGY, a non-profit student association with a focus on dissemination about energy topics and issues, covering the position of Head of Logistics from June 2021 to May 2022 and Advisor to the Head of Communication from June 2022 to May 2023. Before that, I also worked as Manager of the Article and News group and of the Creative Area for the National event FixIt, and as a Consultant for the Training Team and the External Relations Area.
