ABOUT DAN MCGEE

I’m an independent school leader who thrives at the intersection of academics, operations, and technology, where strategic thinking meets practical execution.Over the years, I’ve built and led teams, aligned instructional programs with school mission, modernized infrastructure, and helped schools navigate complex change. Whether implementing a schoolwide academic initiative or rebuilding backend systems for greater efficiency, I work across silos to move schools forward with clarity and integrity.My experience spans classroom teaching, senior leadership, and cross-functional collaboration. I’ve served as a chief technology officer, advised on K–12 curricular strategy, and helped lead major institutional initiatives, always with a focus on people, process, and purpose. I believe the best school leaders empower others, communicate clearly, and bring both high standards and deep empathy to the work.I bring a systems-level perspective with a hands-on approach, equally comfortable in strategic planning meetings, one-on-one coaching sessions, or solving the stubborn problems that get in the way of progress. Whether in academics, tech, or day-to-day operations, I aim to make schools more mission-aligned, more adaptive, and more human.
