ABOUT DANIEL BERGIN

With over 27 years of distinguished service as a New Jersey State Trooper, I bring extensive expertise in law enforcement, intelligence, and corporate security. My career has spanned critical roles in field operations, specialized investigations, and executive leadership, where I have successfully led high-stakes initiatives to safeguard communities and organizations. As a State Police Captain, I have overseen the Criminal Justice Records Bureau, managing critical units such as the Uniform Crime Analytical and Compliance Units, Discovery Unit, and Records & Archives Management Unit. I also led the Violent & Organized Crime Control North Bureau, directing specialized teams in Drug Trafficking, Gangs & Organized Crime, Weapons Trafficking, Crime Suppression, and Motor Vehicle Crimes. My leadership has been instrumental in enhancing operational effectiveness and driving strategic crime control initiatives. Throughout my career, I have built and maintained strong relationships across the private sector and all levels of government, ensuring seamless collaboration and robust security frameworks. My expertise extends to delivering nationwide training on cargo theft, intellectual property theft, criminal street gangs, intelligence analysis, source development, surveillance techniques, and leadership. As a Certified Fraud Examiner and an active member of the American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS) and the Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA), I stay at the forefront of industry best practices in fraud prevention, security, and risk management. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Social Control of Criminal Behavior with a minor in Spanish from Gettysburg College and a Master of Arts in Human Resources Training & Development from Seton Hall University. I am passionate about applying my extensive law enforcement background to corporate security roles, where I can lead strategic initiatives to protect people, assets, and information in dynamic environments.
