During my time at Picker Institute I identified the opportunity to consolidate analytical expertise of multiple colleagues into one group, what effectively is now the Data Science Team. In this capacity I led on the standardisation of data-related processes, implementation of best practices in terms of code quality, version control, data processing pipelines and statistical analysis, primarily utilizing the Python programming language.Recognizing the evolving landscape, I strategically diversified the team\'s expertise to web development, particularly focusing on creating dynamic dashboards with a Django backend. This strategic move aimed to position organisational analytical capabilities as superior offerings in comparison to existing market solutions, leading to advanced insight into patient experience in the healthcare environment.As part of my role, I expanded the team to 5 members whom I currently both manage and mentor. Committed to active personal development in the team, I devised an efficient recruitment strategy that included the establishment of a comprehensive training program. This initiative aimed at nurturing junior colleagues, enabling their progression into more senior roles within the team.

I am a strategic thinker equally able to dive deep into data analysis, as I can take a step back and look at any situation from a different perspective. Constantly curious, I ask questions such as: ‘How does it work?’, ‘Why?’, ‘How can we improve it?’, ‘What is the best course of action?’, ‘What does it actually mean?’ – Always interested in gaining a deeper level of understanding.My main interest and focus at the moment is in Data Science and Machine Learning. Accordingly, I use knowledge around machine learning algorithms to create a valid workflow aimed at seamlessly valuing private companies, based on publicly available data.In my previous roles I used my abilities to build a database in order to automate reporting workflows and analysed main business KPIs, drawing insight from large datasets. By using machine learning algorithms I was able to estimate the value of PR, marketing channel attribution and optimize RoI models. Proficient in Power Bi and other business intelligence tools, I accordingly transform the information into visual reporting suites. I am also proficient at creating automations based on different APIs with Python as main programming language. On a personal level, I value integrity and honesty the most. I am relentless in my approach and particularly competitive with myself. This attitude is visible in both my work where I constantly strive to improve by gaining more knowledge and skills, and personal life where I am competitive powerlifter.
