NOoSPHERE Arts (est. 2011) is a 501c3 led by a team of international creatives whose backgrounds blend arts and sciences. We present multidisciplinary experiences at the nexus of art and eco-awareness: uniting dance, music, visual arts, theater, film, poetry & prose, NOoSPHERE Arts’ collaborative productions harness the power of art to drive action around sustainability, migration, and diversity.Our headquarters plays a critical role in our mission: We are located on the bank of heavily polluted Newton Creek in a former oil refinery—an epicenter of past environmental disasters. It seems a hopeful sign of human power to turn things around that our warehouse is also home to the Kingsland Wildflowers rooftop community gardens: a green corridor in the midst of the industrial wasteland fostering the repopulation of threatened birds, bats, and pollinators while also serving as an educational center that offers public programming around environmental sustainability.A partner in the coalition behind Kingsland Wildflowers @ Broadway Stages since 2017, NOoSPHERE Arts serves as its Arts Producer & Presenter: We create multidisciplinary public arts programming addressing humans’ place on earth, thus extending the reach of the hands-on environmental organizations also operating out of this beloved outdoor community center.
