I joined the Disputes organization as a Senior Software Engineer, where I worked on the claims microservice responsible for initiating the dispute lifecycle and processing high‑volume claims across a large-scale payment platform. The service is built using Spring Boot, Java 17, Oracle, and Kafka.During my time there, I focused on improving performance and reliability in a high‑throughput environment. One of my key contributions was designing and implementing a distributed rate‑limiting solution using Redis and Bucket4j. This reduced downstream load during traffic spikes and helped maintain consistent latency across the microservices ecosystem. I also collaborated closely with partner teams, supported releases, and contributed to enhancing the overall stability of the dispute‑processing platform.This was a contract role that concluded early due to budget adjustments across the organization.
