About Daniel Abelson
Product leader with 6 years in technical product management and 12+ years of total experience across subscription platforms, HR technology, supply chain, and financial services. Currently at Amazon working on Ring\'s billing subscription systems, where I manage our billing partner relationship with Stripe, support in strategy and technical delivery of new device and feature onboarding, and act as the key partner between Billing, Customer Service and Finance. Before Ring, I worked in roles across Amazon\'s People eXperience & Technology org where I drove the migration from a legacy monolith to microservices, partnered with engineering on a graph-based rules engine for compensation calculations, and presented a PRFAQ to Amazon\'s VP of Compensation for a new admin portal. With the launch, we took a process that used to require three days of engineering effort down to minutes. I also built a unified Pay experience in Amazon\'s internal application, A to Z, partnering across Payroll, Compensation and Benefits teams for 1.4M+ employees that reduced internal support contacts by 36%. Before venturing into product management, I spent nearly four years building honeygrow\'s operations from 3 to 32 locations as their first supply chain hire, reporting to the CEO. That experience taught me how to move fast, manage P & Ls, and build from scratch. I used my MBA to sharpen and improve my business skills and transition into product management, and now at Amazon, I\'ve learned how to operate at scale with technical depth.

Sr Product Manager - Technical (Pmt), Ring Subscriptions
Jul 2025 — Present
The Ring Subscriptions product management team is responsible for all areas of the roadmap, spanning new product launches, lifecycle, international expansion and working with the engineering team on scalability. We work closely with all cross-functional teams including engineering, program management, sales, marketing, UX, accounting, and legal to name a few. We strike a balance between moving fast and bias for action, and data-driven decision making and customer obsession.
