About Daniela Kefalas
I have always felt that the field of International Relations allows me to explore my own self-identity and how identities interreact in our globalized world, leading to relationships between countries. Growing up trilingual, speaking Greek, Spanish and English, I have always been drawn to finding connections between countries as I myself connect the different countries within me, growing up Greek-Cypriot and Venezuelan born in the USA. Academically, I always felt a deeper connection with languages, geography and history subjects that have inspired me to further explore the diverse and complex world we live in while learning from the past and creating bonds with other regions of the world. I believe that my academic passions and multicultural background can offer a very distinct perspective of the world as well as a unique viewpoint. Through my career I hope to be able to bridge cross-cultural divides and bring people together to solve the pressing issues that impact our world today.
