Led and managed a group of three reporters, working with them to develop and execute coverage of race, opportunity, and equity, as well as issues in the U.S. Supreme Court and lower courts. Co-editor of EdWeek’s Leaders to Learn From, the only district recognition program run by a news organization that publishes annual profiles highlighting all levels of district leadership, and culminates with a multi-day event. Coordinate closely with the visual and immersive experience team to ensure that the visual expression of EdWeek’s journalism and standards are carefully considered and executed. Help coordinate efforts with development coworkers on coverage supported through grants, including helping to develop grant proposals for new funding and providing reports for existing funding. Develop and produce special reports as assigned, and provide second rounds of editing on stories from other editors.
