    Reporting to the Vice President of Operations and responsible for the successful performance of the Safety and Security of the organization. Specific areas of responsibility include: operational performance, relationship management with internal and external customers, union workforce and other key stakeholders, while continually driving safety standards to improve our performance.Development and continuous improvement of Company safety policies, procedures and practices to ensure compliance with applicable Acts, regulations and industry leading safety practices.Monitor new and revised health and safety legislation to remain current with latest requirements. Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning and development; e.g, membership and active participation in Industry Safety groups. Maintain safety and security manuals, reviewing and updating annually to ensure compliance.Co-ordinate Health & Safety Committee activities, ensuring regular meetings and inspections are taking place, follow up action is being taken, and that required membership and certification requirements are met.
